In response to the rising concern over online gambling addiction, Indonesian punk band ANTIKOLOR has released their new single, "Main Slot," aiming to discourage young people from engaging in online gambling due to its long-term negative impacts on their future.
With the increasing prevalence of this issue in Indonesia, particularly among students, ANTIKOLOR’s latest track, "Main Slot," seeks to address the detrimental effects of this addiction, which include financial difficulties, dropping out of school or college, and the need for psychiatric therapy due to mental health issues.
Raihan & Boy, the lyricists behind "Main Slot," use simple and humorous lyrics accompanied by upbeat pop punk arrangements to make the song’s message more accessible to listeners. This approach is intended to create a positive psychological and mental impact on the youth.
"Main Slot" also marks a new chapter in ANTIKOLOR’s second album. Along with their previously released single "A.C.A.B" from May, "Main Slot" will be featured in their upcoming album set to release at the end of 2024.
