After a four-year hiatus, the South Bandung-based death metal/deathcore band Coruja El Diablo is back with their highly anticipated single titled "Desertir." The release is scheduled for Indonesia's Independence Day August 17 2024, marking a significant return for the band as they step into the extreme music scene.

Formed by Ardhi (guitar), Rian (vocals), Piki (drums), and Devien (guitar), Coruja El Diablo has spent years searching for the right members and defining their musical direction. The result is "Desertir," their first self-released track, which serves as a powerful debut in the extreme music scene, particularly in Bandung.

"Desertir," derived from the word "desertion," tells the tale of a soldier, warrior, or leader who betrays his comrades in pursuit of personal pleasure and safety, embodying the themes of greed and selfishness. The song encapsulates this story through its intense music, lyrics, and accompanying artwork.

This single is one of three demos that will feature on Coruja El Diablo's forthcoming debut album. Following the release, the band is open to collaborating with record labels interested in producing their first full-length album. Coruja El Diablo hopes that "Desertir" will resonate with fans of extreme music and pave the way for their future endeavors.
