#BreakingNews': Blistering Metallic Hardcore Outfit WORN OUT Release Sophomore EP "LOW" and Announce Headline Ireland Tour

Cork-based noise merchants WORN OUT have unleashed their highly-anticipated sophomore EP, *LOW*, on August 30, 2024, via self-release. The EP follows the release of their July single, "Deeper," and coincides with the announcement of their headline tour across Ireland later this year. The tour will feature support from Grief Ritual and Lure In, beginning in October and concluding in November, with stops in Belfast, Dublin, Limerick, and Cork.

*LOW* sees WORN OUT diving deeper into their aggressive, chaotic, and atmospheric metallic sound, with mixing by Joe Clayton and mastering by Sam Bloor. The four-track EP showcases a dynamic fusion of dissonance, heavy rhythms, and scathing vocals, building on the intensity hinted at in previous releases. The band recorded most of the EP themselves, further reinforcing their DIY ethos.

The group has garnered considerable attention since the release of "Deeper," with Alex Baker of Kerrang! Radio naming WORN OUT his featured band of the week in late July, describing them as "off the chain" and "unbelievably good." This acclaim follows the success of their debut EP, *WASTE*, which received rave reviews from outlets like Overdrive.ie, GBHBL, and Distorted Sound, among others.

In conjunction with the EP, WORN OUT has partnered with Ripcord Records and Death Farm Records for physical releases, including vinyl and cassette editions.

Since forming in 2017, WORN OUT has made a significant impact on the Irish hardcore and metal scenes, playing alongside acts like God Mother, Palm Reader, and Conjurer, and building a reputation as a powerhouse live act. Their 2022 single "Bridgeburner," featuring guest vocals from Justin Paul Hill of Sikth, further solidified their standing as one of Ireland's most intense and hard-working DIY bands.

**Band Lineup:**
- Xander Coughlan - Vocals
- Alex Heinrich - Guitars
- Brian Bowell - Bass
- Evan Prendergast - Drums

Stay tuned for more updates on WORN OUT's tour and future releases.
