Bandung-based band MINDLESS SESSION has just released their latest single and music video titled “The Black Witch” on August 15, 2024.

Embracing a paradigm of contradiction, the band ventures into a post-apocalyptic dystopian fiction with their new release. Unlike their previous songs, "The Black Witch" features a more stripped-down sound, representing a sarcastic analogy. The song narrates the loss of sanity, deceit, and the demons within every human heart, drawing inspiration from the 14th-century Western tradition where witchcraft was rampant. During that era, numerous women became practitioners of witchcraft, selling spells under the guise of prayers, leading to the execution of hundreds of thousands across Europe simply for being labeled as witches.

Mindless Session has meticulously crafted every element of "The Black Witch," from the recording, sound, and equipment to the visuals, to deliver a compelling experience. The heavy yet measured music, leaning towards psychedelic rock, seamlessly transitions into the music video format.

This single marks a continuation of Mindless Session's consistency and serves as a bridge to their upcoming album.
