Bandung-based band MONOGRIT, formed in early 2023 by Bayu (Bass), Adhie (Guitar), and Abiem (Guitar), has officially entered the music scene. After a year of development, the lineup was completed with Tedi as the vocalist at the end of 2023.
MONOGRIT's creative journey culminated in their debut single, "Hollow," released on October 28, 2024, under EASTNEPTUNE RECORD. The track was arranged by guitarist Adhie, with lyrics penned by vocalist Tedi.
"Hollow" delves into the emotional depths of human experiences, portraying the struggles of reaching one’s lowest point while still holding on to compassion. It captures feelings of disappointment, pain, despair, and the hope for light at the end of life’s darkest moments.
To complement the release, MONOGRIT unveiled a music video almost a month later. Staying true to the song's introspective theme, the video employs a simple concept, featuring evocative footage that visualizes the story and emotions conveyed in the lyrics.
