Jakarta Timur/Bekasi-based indie band DARIU proudly announces their highly anticipated comeback single, “ANIMAL,” scheduled for release on January 3, 2025. The track marks a bold new direction for the band, blending their members' diverse musical influences into a fresh and unique sound for global indie music enthusiasts.

“ANIMAL” draws inspiration from the styles of iconic artists Marilyn Manson and Lady Gaga, presenting an innovative take on the Dark Pop genre. This single aims to immerse listeners in a dark yet energetic atmosphere, delivering themes of resilience and empowerment. The lyrics, “I’m alive, know that I’ll survive, I don’t have to try, like ANIMAL,” reflect the band’s message: no matter the challenges, strength and determination will help overcome adversity, just like a fierce beast.

Written in the key of F#m and with a tempo of 147 BPM, “ANIMAL” symbolizes DARIU’s evolution into a more mature and refined musical identity.
