#BreakingNews : Brazilian Thrash Metal Band AMBIVALENTT Releases Provocative New Single "Abyss"
AMBIVALENTT, the modern Thrash Metal band hailing from São Paulo, has unveiled their latest single and lyric video titled "Abyss." This powerful track delves into the pervasive apathy of contemporary society amidst its own deterioration. Serving as a dark reflection, "Abyss" challenges the deliberate ignorance of a world numbed by daily tragedies and accustomed to its own moral decay.
The accompanying lyric video portrays a character passively watching television, his blank expression symbolizing society's normalization of extreme events such as urban violence, war, and poverty. At one point, he appears to awaken from his stupor, smiling and standing as if embracing change. However, this is abruptly subverted when he willingly steps into an abyss, still smiling, epitomizing the ongoing detachment in the face of societal collapse.
Formed in 2016, AMBIVALENTT draws inspiration from 2000s Thrash Metal, notably the American band Nevermore. Their name is a homage to Nevermore's track "Ambivalent" from the album "Enemies of Reality." The current lineup features Ricardo Melo on vocals, Fernando Cordeiro and Tarcísio Silva on guitars, Werllon Meira on bass, and Márcio Lelis on drums.
"Abyss" was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Dual Noise Studio, with the lyric video crafted by Ricardo Melo. The single is now available on all major streaming platforms. Fans are encouraged to subscribe to the band's YouTube channel to view the lyric video and stay updated on future releases and performances.
