#BreakingNews : GIRLZEROTH Returns With A Powerful New Single, “FIGHT AGAINST STIGMA”
After a five-year hiatus, GIRLZEROTH has finally unleashed their long-awaited single, “Fight Against Stigma” on February 10, 2025, a continuation of their second album. Led by Neng Jemping (guitar) alongside Emon (bass), Gina (vocals), and an additional drummer, the band delivers a bold statement against societal prejudices toward women in extreme music.
Musically, "Fight Against Stigma" is heavily inspired by Psycroptic, Nile, Beyond Creation, and Deadly Remains, featuring technical death metal riffs, steady yet dynamic drumming, sharp and articulate guitar tones, deep, resonant bass, and fierce vocals that defy gender norms. The song reinforces the message that women in extreme music are here to stay and will not be erased by time.
A Glimpse into GIRLZEROTH’s Journey
Founded in 2008 in Bandung, GIRLZEROTH initially featured Anang (drums), Neng Jemping (guitar), Emon (bass), and Wong Die (vocals). Over the years, lineup changes occurred, with the last stable formation including Nadzir (drums), Neng Jemping (guitar), and Gina (vocals). Following the success of their debut album “Kingdom Warrior”, the band embarked on extensive tours. However, after Nadzir’s departure, the remaining members took a temporary break from the metal scene.
Now, with "Fight Against Stigma," GIRLZEROTH proves they are back, stronger than ever, and ready to reclaim their place in the extreme metal world.
