Bandung, Indonesia – Hummus, the Bandung-based band known for their unique blend of afrobeat and Middle Eastern rock, has announced the release of their new single "Panjatkanlah Doa" on January 31, 2025. The song features a collaboration with Sigit Pramudita, the frontman of the band Tiga Pagi, who lends his trumpet skills to the track.
"Panjatkanlah Doa" is the fourth single from Hummus, and it showcases their signature sound, which is heavily influenced by film scores, particularly the compositions found in spaghetti westerns. The band's guitarist and composer, Bram, explained that the song was inspired by the recent attacks on the Al Aqsa Mosque by Israeli forces.
"We wanted to create a song that would encourage people to continue praying for the situation in Palestine," said Bram. "We believe that music can be a powerful tool for raising awareness and inspiring hope."
The members of Hummus are Shabira (vocals/keyboard), Ande (guitar), Andzar (drums), Kiki (bass), and Bram (guitar). "Panjatkanlah Doa" will be available on all major digital music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Youtube Music.
