#BreakingNews : EDGECRUSHER Strikes Hard With Debut Single “DISRUPSI MANIPULASI”

JAKARTA – A new force has emerged in the Indonesian metal scene as EDGECRUSHER officially unleashes their debut single, “Disrupsi Manipulasi”, on March 8, 2025, across all major digital streaming platforms, accompanied by a lyric video on their official YouTube channel.

Formed in November 2024, EDGECRUSHER is the brainchild of Bimo D. Samyayogi (ex-Absolute Defiance) and Aloysius Septian (InColdBlood), later joined by Sobron Haki a.k.a. Obon (ex-Panic Disorder, Hurt’em) on drums and Rilman Fardino a.k.a. Rino (Derau, ex-Supersucks) on vocals.

Drawing inspiration from Fear Factory’s 1998 track "Edgecrusher", the band’s name aligns with their mission while maintaining a distinct identity. Their music is a fusion of thrash metal, death metal, hardcore, and Gregorian-style vocal harmonies, blended with a modern metal sound. Bimo describes their style as “hybrid metal”, refusing to be boxed into a single subgenre.

"Disrupsi Manipulasi" is a politically charged anthem with sarcastic lyrical poetry, tackling the global impact of digital disruption, the pandemic-driven acceleration of artificial intelligence, and the looming influence of globalist agendas on Indonesia. The song critiques fear-based propaganda and the erosion of human rights in the name of progress.

EDGECRUSHER is already gearing up for their next release, “Apex Predator”, later this month, paving the way for their full-length debut album expected by the end of 2025. They are also preparing for live performances and actively seeking a bassist to complete their lineup.

“We hope our music resonates with heavy music fans and gains wide recognition,” said Aloy. Rino added, “We’re getting ready to hit the stage with a solid performance, so stay tuned for our live shows!”
