Coming from the northern side of Paris Van Java, the anomalous distortion collective known as MELAKHA has returned with a new and intense offering. On February 25, 2025, the band unleashed their latest single, "SAKARATU ORGANISIR SANGKAKALA" (S.O.S), following their explosive debut, "7:3/Red-Dot", released last year.

Unlike their previous track, which focused on government corruption with their signature distorted rock riffs, S.O.S delves into a darker and more haunting realm. The single merges elements of Boom Bap Rap, Hardcore, and Post-Punk, creating an ominous atmosphere that complements its lyrical themes—moral crisis and the fading existence of religion in the final age. With this release, MELAKHA continues to rise as a formidable force in the underground scene.

ABOUT MELAKHA

Formed in late 2023, MELAKHA emerged as a reaction to the rampant demagogy, moral decay, and the diminishing presence of faith in a society mirroring an era of modern ignorance. The band consists of 0zi (drums), Gel (vocals), Amru (guitar), Jazz (lead guitar), and Dawg (bass).

Their philosophy of "Memoizm"—a concept with an ambiguous origin and fluid meaning—runs through every verse they craft. In mid-2024, MELAKHA made a strong statement with their debut single "7:3/Red-Dot", a furious critique of Indonesia’s government, exposing its flaws and the erosion of Pancasila values. Their blend of aggressive rap vocals and distorted rock riffs has cemented them as a unique and defiant voice in the underground music scene.
