Malang, Indonesia – Death metal unit Sister Murder has officially announced the release of their latest album, "Resurrecting the Wounded Psyche," set to drop on March 8, 2025—coinciding with International Women's Day. The album delivers a powerful message of resistance, strength, and defiance against all forms of violence, especially those affecting women.
Blending slamming riffs with an easy-listening twist on death metal, the band introduces a unique sound—combining melodic influences from Death and In Flames with the crushing brutality of Analepsy, Malevolent Creation, and Abominable Putridity.

Recorded at Virtuoso Music Studio, Malang, between early 2024 and September 2024, the album was meticulously mixed and mastered by Cambel Benjamin & Herman from Grind Ears, Banyu Mili Music Studio.
Sister Murder—Siska (Vocals), Levita Damaika (Guitar), Chesil (Bass), and The Moon (Drums)—delivers a dark and intense journey through themes of mental trauma, resistance against oppression, and the unrelenting fight for survival. While inspired by real-life struggles, the band clarifies that their music is not exclusive to women nor intended to blame men. Instead, they invite listeners to experience the raw emotions—pain, despair, rage, and ultimately, resilience.
The album artwork, created by Adi Dechristianize, visually captures the destruction of oppressive symbols and the strength of a fearless female warrior, perfectly embodying the album's themes. Additional creative contributions came from Wildan Slam (logo & album title design), Longspace Project, and Meigo “Criminal Impact” (layout design).
