Ambarawa-based screamo band Dressed Like an Ocean has officially released their highly anticipated debut album, "...A Winged Coda From My Leeching Arms," on November 23, 2024. This marks a significant milestone for the band, which has been carving its name in the underground scene with a unique blend of screamo and melancholic post-rock elements.
The album follows the release of their single "Torn Pages From A Restless Tale," which debuted on May 28, 2023, via Mortal Bloods Records on Bandcamp. The single is also featured in the new album, setting the tone for an emotionally intense and atmospheric listening experience.
Formed in May 2023, Dressed Like an Ocean consists of:

- Gading Wicaksono (bass)
- Abi Mukti (guitar)
- Hilmy Zaidan (drums)
Recorded at Inside The Whale Labs, with drum tracking at 4WD Studio, the album is a product of meticulous craftsmanship. The band's guitarist, Irvan Naba, took charge of mixing and mastering at Inside The Whale Labs, ensuring a raw yet immersive sound. The album's artwork was created by GUILT!, with serigraphy by Ragil Maulana (@studioberbahagya) and band photography by Ilham Tangi.
Released in cassette format through three different labels—Mortal Bloods Records (Indonesia), BSDJ (Japan), and Slow Down Records (Norway)—the album encapsulates an intense emotional journey. With deep introspective themes and a surreal sonic landscape, "...A Winged Coda From My Leeching Arms" manifests as a raw expression of inner turmoil and dark emotions.
