#NEWS : AZOG – Melodic Black Metal from Italy
Azog is a melodic black metal band from Trani, Italy, formed in 2016 from the remnants of a previous project called "Vorators," which disbanded in 2008. The band's lineup includes founder Aldo Musacco on vocals and lead guitar, Leonardo Del Duca on rhythm guitar, Raffaele Lastella on bass, and Giovanni Scaringi on drums.
On December 3, 2021, Azog released their debut full-length album, "Ab Chai Ruinis," under Wine and Fog Productions. The album comprises eight tracks, including "Through the Burning Ashes of Mankind," "Dechristianize All," and "Satan's Reign." It features collaborations with notable musicians from the Italian metal scene: Marco Aquino (Suite Noire) composed the intro and outro, Snarl (Black Faith) provided guest vocals on "The Descender Litany," D. (Eyelids) on "Chains of Doom," and Xes (Infernal Angels) on "Nihilistic Dream." The album was recorded by Raùl Ortiz of Indio Production and mixed and mastered by Matteo Labianca of Kaali Inanna Production.
